The next procedure will move away a file which normally causes your Mac to be slower (especially with old models running new or updated macOS)..
If your Model is not listed..then it's no problem for your Mac;-)
Methode 1:
Open Terminal
Type command: system_profiler -detaillevel mini |grep "Model Ident"
Remember the output name like: "MacBookPro7.1"
Type: sudo su - (and enter you credentials when asked)
You are now running as ROOT.
Type (to mount the root filesystem in rw-mode): mount -o remount,rw /
Type: cd /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources
Type: ls -lia MacBookPro7.1*
Next command will move the problem file away!!!:-)
Type: mv MacBookPro7_1.plist MacBookPro7_1.bak
Type: sync
Exit the Terminal
Restart MacBook
Methode 2:
Boot MacBook in Recovery mode: Command-R power-on-button
Open Terminal
Type command: system_profiler -detaillevel mini |grep "Model Ident"
Remember the output name like: "MacBookPro7.1"
Type command: csrutil disable
Restart MacBook
Open Terminal
Type: cd /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources
Type: ls -lia MacBookPro7.1*
Next command will move the problem file away!!!:-)
Type: sudo mv MacBookPro7_1.plist MacBookPro7_1.bak
Shutdown MacBook en Boot again in Recovery mode via Command-R & Power-on-button.
Open Terminal
Optioneel disable warmd-daemon: launchctl disable system/com.apple.warmd (& warmd.system ?)
Type command: csrutil enable
Restart MacBook
